Photovoltaic solar

This floating solar plant of 6337,65 kWp is installed on a water treatment pond, located in Walton-on-Thames town, Surrey, UK.

The Hydrelio© floating solar system supports 23046 panels (270Wp SUNTECH modules), and covers about 4,65 % of the water surface (5,95 out of 128 ha).

For this project, Ciel & Terre was in charge of Hydrelio© supply, solar island design and anchoring system design. The bottom anchoring with percussive driven earth anchors was designed to meet a maximum depth of 18,4 m and a level variation of 18,4 m.

The construction lasted 13 weeks and the grid connection was effective in March 2016.
