Puebla Solar Power Plant
Sonora, MexicoPhotovoltaic solar
In 2015, Exosun signs a contract with the Mexican company Forza Systems, EPC and commercial developer of solar installations to supply its innovative systems for a pilot plant in Caborca, Sonora, northern Mexico. This 146 kWp pilot project is the first step in a multi-year framework agreement between the two companies.
Exosun's Exotrack® HZ single-axis solar tracker carries 480 solar modules in order to direct them to the sun and thus to increase the energy production of the plant by 20%, compared to fixed inclined structures.
As part of its collaboration with Forza Systems, Exosun is committed to producing its tracking systems locally. In addition to the supply of trackers, Exosun has been present with its partner throughout the construction and commissioning phases. The company also trained in the operation and maintenance of trackers to ensure optimal performance of Exotrack® HZ.
Technologies used
The Exotrack® HZ is a one-axis horizontal solar tracker that increases the output of a solar plant by up to 25% compared to a fixed photovoltaic plant. This innovative and efficient technology helps customers achieve the best LCOE (lowest cost per unit of energy) and accelerates the return on investment of large solar power plants on the ground.
