Solarcel training plateform
Beirut, LebanonSolar energy | Photovoltaic solar
An original and promising project
At the Beirut Energy Forum in 2011, Transénergie saw a strong desire to develop photovoltaic energy in Lebanon. Contacts with the Ministry of Energy & the Lebanon Energy Agency (Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation) quickly materialized. This project was a real opportunity for French industry to position itself as one of the precursors of the sector in the country.
Transénergie proposed the creation of a photovoltaic educational platform, working with French equipment, aimed at launching the development of this technology for the training of Lebanese engineers and technicians.
Started in 2014, the project was supported by France in the form of a "Private Sector Study and Assistance Fund" and co-financed by Lebanese institutional partners and a club of companies federated by Transénergie.
At the time of the inauguration, the project proves to be a complete success as an educational tool. Commercial contracts have already been concluded.
The educational models on this platform will train trainees in the following techniques :
- Photovoltaics connected to the grid in self-consumption and rescued,
- The autonomous photovoltaic system with battery storage alone or hybrid system: storage battery + generator.
